gettin' crafty

My guy is gone - in fact, he has been gone since Tuesday and I'm starting to go crazy! I've worked out twice/played sand volleyball, hung out at Target and the coffee shop, done loads of laundry, vacuumed, baked and scrapbooked - I'm running out of things to do which means Justin needs to come home NOW! This morning I busted out my craft box and found supplies for a project I meant to do a year ago, oops.

I didn't realize how bare the lamps were without the new additions. For 6 bucks, I think they turned out great! I'm not the best at giving directions, nor do I have the patience to post the step by step instructions on the blog.. so if you would like to know what materials I used and how I put them together, just let me know!

clear lake

We just got back to Minneapolis after another great 3 day weekend! Originally we were supposed to go to a family friends cabin in Eagle River, WI - but plans changed last minute and we ended up camping out at Clear Lake. It was a pretty relaxed weekend full of boating and playing with Duddley - oh, and getting sunburned!

apple river

I had my first Apple River experience last weekend over the 4th. Floating down a dirty river with tons of people never sounded all that fun to me.. well, despite my initial thoughts, I had a blast! We camped out Friday, floated down the river on Saturday and headed home on Sunday. The place was packed with tons of college kids and twenty-somethings. The water was freezing cold and we were all shivering until the sun finally came out and warmed us up towards the end of the float. It was good to see all of our college friends and overall it was a great weekend and I would totally go again next summer

new phone

I'm super hard on my phones and my old phone got to the point where 5 buttons didn't work, not good. I ended up getting the newer version of my old phone and so far I love !! Its no blackberry or iphone (I wish) but it gets the job done. I promised myself I will take better care of this phone - we will see how long that lasts...
