London pictures

LONDON!

The past couple weeks have been quite the adventure.  Exactly 2 weeks ago I was on a plane from Chicago to London..my first trans-atlantic flight!  I thought I was going to freak out on the plane so I packed a few Zanex and dramamine just in case haha.  I did surprisingly well with the flights both to and from London even though I didn't sleep a lick.  We arrived in London at 11 am on Friday morning, went through customs ( we didnt get out passports stamped :( apparently technology is far too advanced and scanners have replaced them ).  A bus picked our group up from Heathrow and took us to our hotel right next to Notting Hill and Kensington Gardens.  From this point, the trip is a complete blur.  We managed to keep busy from morning til night..everyday!  Here is a short list of things we did while in London.
*Saw Spamalot and Wicked.
* Took a boat tour down the Thames
* Toured Tate Modern Collection, British Museum and the National Gallery
* London Eye
* Went to Greenwich ( where the prime meridian originated...this was my favorite thing we did!)
* Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalagar Square
* Easter Service at St. Paul's Cathedral
* Portabello Road in Notting Hill
* Found the Travel Book Store the movie Notting Hill was based off of
* Found platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station ..for all you Harry Potter lovers
* Went to Abbey Road
* Ate Bangladeshi, Greek, Italian, Chinese, and Mediterranean food.
* Ate fish and chips ..3 times :P
* Spent a day in the seaside town of Brighton and Cambridge
London is by far the most eye opening and memorable trip of my life! I'm so thankful for this opportunity and I can't wait until my next chance to go back to Europe!

Sunday was J-P's last Sunday at WDMCC.  I am so bummed!  Amy and J-P are moving to the KC area where he will be an amazing pastor to another church.  I wish them the best of luck!!

Bugs & Fire

Justin's cousins turned 3 this weekend and they are the most adorable kids ever.  When their mom asked them what they wanted on their cake the said "bugs and fire" aka. candles and plastic bugs!  Here is a video of them doing some moves they learned at gymnastics.
