birthday weekend!

Justin got me the best birthday gift ever - tickets to Country Splash in Somerset, WI! He surprised me with them on Thursday night and I was almost more excited then when we got engaged ;)

We saw Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Kenny Chesney on Friday and then we went back on Saturday to see Clay Walker, Darius Rucker and Rascal Flatts. Overall, Darius Rucker was the biggest surprise, he was awesome! He played his new country songs along with some Hootie and the Blowfish - it was like seeing 2 concerts in 1! I've been wanting to see Clay Walker foreeeeverrr so that was a real treat to finally see him live. Kenny was amazing an fully of energy and Lady Antebellum was as cute in concert as they are on TV.

We has such a blast sitting outside, drinking beers and margaritas listing to some good ole country music!

house hunting

So.. Justin and I are thinking about becoming homeowners! We have been tossing around the idea for awhile now, but we just recently decided to get serious about finding a more permanent place to live. We are meeting with a loan officer on Sunday afternoon. I hope everything goes well and she tells us we can afford a house exactly like this...
haha, in my dreams!

Seriously though, we aren't affraid of a fixer upper and we are excited to have a housing budget and figure out which neighborhood we want to live in. I reallllly hope this isn't a super stressful process - we have to be out of our condo by Sept 1 so the race is on!!

marin's grad party

Marin's grad party was this past weekend! I really enjoyed seeing family and friends and eating good food. I only took a few pictures because I was busy eating little bagel bites with cream cheese frosting- YUM! We had fun looking through Marin's baby pictures the night before as she was picking the best to display. Now that the ceremony and party are over, we have the big move to Missouri State left :)

Don't worry - Marin and Zach aren't parents.. just total suckers for Zach's nephew, Carter :)

pretty purple flowers

Justin and I don't exactly have great gardening skills, even though we both come from families who love to garden/landscape. Justin's Grandma and Grandpa sent us home with this beauty last weekend and I promised I wouldn't kill it like I killed the rose plant from Beth... I'm proud to report it is still alive and blooming like crazy! I guess this is just practice for when we have our own yard to take care of.

Thanks for the plant!!

marin's graduation

My baby sister graduated from Valley this weekend! I can't believe she will be headed off to college at Missouri State in August and that we will live 10 hours away from each other... I'm already trying to convince her to move to Minneapolis the summer after her freshman year. She looked super cute in her dress (which I picked out :)

I will be heading home on Saturday (for the third weekend in a row) for Marin's grad party- can't wait!
